If you look around, you will always find Indians being more prone to rely on their guts. They might as well build logic on why Obama should stay in Afghanistan. The general public syndrome seems which is quite noticeable in the country seems to be prevalent throughout India’s technological history too!
Lets rule out the political scenario here. Do you believe, India’s applauded success in Chandrayaan is derived out of sheer guts? Well, even your seventh-grade kid may laugh at the question.
Right, Indian technology history is built on logic not guts. See Iran. How they dare and rule out world’s opinion in enriching their N-arsenal! That’s guts. India lacks it. Reasons exist. What good, or what bad – that’s not the question. The truth is the logic overpowers guts, as far as Indian technology history is concerned. Ask the politicians, they would not be happy allowing scientists wearing guts on their sleeves. It’s for them! Scientists must find logic – logic to let Indian history fly with the politicians!
You say Pokhran. I say pure logic – logic to stay at the top. It is the same logic, which was imported and then injected in India during the British colonial rule to show a brand-new path to the native Indians helping them building logic to create history in the technological arena. The process has logically taken Indians to understand why their guts are not counted inside their shabby laboratories.
Indians are known for having higher mathematical aptitudes. Mathematics – a field of logic has taken Indian technocrats to lead the information technology where no Galileo Galilei was to be produced. Sir Jagadis Chandra Bose, Sir C. V. Raman, Srinivasa Ramanujan, Homi Bhabha, Hargobind Khorana – all took the logical way of building Indian technology history than going to the Archimedes way.
